Schools in Nepal’s earthquake affected districts have been reopened from Sunday which were closed since the greater earthquake on the 25th April 2015.As 90 percent of the schools have been destroyed, most of the schools have conducted their classes under a temporary huts. Presence of the students were seen lesser than expected as many of the families are mourning their family tragedy and their residence have been displaced.
Thinking about the psychological effects of the devastation, schools have started their classes in different way with extracurricular activities which are aimed to remove the fears from children’s mind. Most of the schools have started entertainment sessions including singing, dancing, speeches, playing, sports, praying etc that would refresh their minds and prepare for the regular school learning.
