An earthquake measuring 7.5 with epicenter at south-west of Jarm city, 256 km north-east from Kabul, has hit Afghanistan on Monday. The tremor was felt as far as in Delhi, Tajikistan and Pakistan mostly affecting Pakistan. Early reports from Afghanistan, Pakistan and India have put the death toll at more than 229 with 154 casualty reported in Pakistan alone.
At least 12 girl students have been died in a stampede while trying to escape the shaking school buildings in Afghanistan’s Takhar province.
