Today is the 10th day of Dashain festival called the Bijaya Dashami or Teeka Day where all process of worshiping Durga Mata and sacrificing of animals are concluded and Teeka day is celebrated receiving Teeka, Jamara and blessings from superiors and relatives.After receiving Teeka at home, people go to their relative’s home to receive Teeka.This process of exchanging Teeka will continue until the evening of Kojagrat Purnima, which is the day 15th and last day of great Dashain festival.
According to the Panchanga Nirnayak Samiti (Nepal Calendar Determination Committee), the auspicious time for receiving Teeka today is at 10:15 am.
As per our tradition, President Ram Baran Yadab will be offering Teeka to public at his residence today.As the head of nation, Yadab has called the interested people to come to his office during 1-5 pm Friday afternoon.
