President Dr. Ram Baran Yadab today has unveiled the government’s annual policy and programmes for the fiscal year 2015-2016 at the meeting of parliament.
Prime Minister Sushil Koirala have handed over the government’s policy and programmes to president Yadab when he arrived at CA building at New Baneshwar Kathmandu.

Below are the highlights of government’s programmes and policy:
To increase the effectiveness of the Commission Of Investigation of Abuse OF Authority (CIAA)
To increase the capacity and effectiveness of anti-money laundering body
To hold local election within the fiscal year 2015-2016
To explore the area of revenue collection
To computerize all the national account system
To adopt zero tolerance towards corruption
To provide loan to all earthquake victims for reconstruction of damaged properties
To make the expenditure and auditing system more effective and credible
To direct Melamchi Drinking water project for timely completion
To establish public hospitals with at least 15 beds at all municipalities
To facilitate Seismological Centers with better equipment
To start construction of Kathmandu Terai fast track road
To expand some of the highways to four and six lanes and complete already ongoing road construction projects, to connect Humla and Dolpa district headquarters with roads
To initiate the reconstruction of all national heritage and official buildings with priority
To complete already started hydropower projects and explore new areas
To construct cricket stadium at various designated locations
To work towards reducing load-shedding time not exceeding 8 hrs a day
To launch various projects targeted to marginalized people and unemployed youths
To Work towards changing the nation’s status to developing nation by 2022 BS
