Thousands of Nepalese people have gathered at Tundikhel in Kathmandu Nepal on Saturday and assembled to make Nepali flag. In the event organized by Bhabesh Khanal and friends people carried colored placards on their heads to form the portrait of flag. The whole event was photographed from the helicopter. Minister for Youth and Sports Purushottam Paudel was also present in the event. Paudel has said that such events delivers the message of unity and national feelings.
The organizer has planned to send the photographs and videos to the World Guinness Records office aiming to record as world’s largest human flag. Pakistani national holds the record until now which was made on last February with 29,040 people congregated at Hockey Stadium in Lahore.
According to the organizer, they will send the signatures of Anuradha Koirala from Maiti Nepal, lyricist of the national anthem Byakul Maila and CEO of the Mega Bank Anil Shah along with the photographs and videos taken during the event. This is the first time that any Nepalese has attempted
to set record on Human Made Flag although Nepalese have set many World Guinness Records on various activities.
