Nepal has shared an equal 1 point each with Namibia in yesterday’s ICC World T20 qualifying match after the match was interrupted due to repeated rainfall. Earlier the match was hold for several minutes due to rain after Nepal chose to field first wining the toss. Later the match was started but it has to be stopped again after playing 7.4 overs. Namibia had scored 61 run with the loss of one wicket in 7.4 over. It was impossible to resume the match due to the persistent rain and officials decided to conclude match awarding 1 point to each team.
Namibia had an terrific start with openers Stephen Baard and Gerrie Snyman who scroed 36 runs in 4.5 over before Parash Khadka sent Gerrie off.Later Raymod Van came and scored 25 run for the unbroken second wicket before the match was stopped due to rain.
Nepal after yesterday’s match is ranked in number 1 of Group A. Nepal has already beaten USA with 6 wickets in the first match.
Nepal will face Ireland in the next match on 13th July.
