Supreme Court of Nepal has denied to issue an interim order against the constitution amendment bill at the parliament.
 
The Supreme Court has said that the court shouldn’t interfere the bill at the parliament as parliament has the right to discuss, change and pass or fail any bills. It further clarified that the present parliament is the continuation of the Constituent Assembly who drafted the constitution in the past who has the moral and legal right to change the bill as per constitution.
 
A division bench of Chief Justice Sushila Karki and Justice Ishwor Prasad Khatiwada has given the verdict after hearing the writ filed by attorney Tika Dhwaj Khadka and some lawmakers from CPN UML.
 
Today’s verdict has cleared the process for ruling parties and given more pressure to opposition parties to follow the parliamentary process.
