indian naional killed in police protester clash in birgunj nepal
 
An Indian citizen identified as Aashish Kumar Ram currently residing in Birgunj sub-municipality-11 has been killed in police-protesters clash on Monday. The incident happened when police force dispersed  the protesters staging at Nepal-India friendship bridge early morning and opened the border which had been closed for last 42 days. After few hrs. hundreds of protesters arrived in the area and started vandalizing Maiti Nepal’s office and burnt down Inarwa Police Post. The clash began when police were trying to disperse them using  baton and tear gas cells. Police were forced to open fire when the crowd became more violent eventually injuring some protesters. Seriously injured Aashish Kumar was dead shortly.
 
Some 10 policemen are in jured in the clash including Sub-Inspector Krishna Chaudhary working at Ratomato Gan Makawanpur and In-charge of Inrawa Police Post, Purushottam Subedi.
 
Terai based parties are protesting in southern Nepal blocking the India-Nepal customs for last 2 and half months demanding amendment in the newly promulgated constitution of Nepal on 20th September.

Terai based parties have formed a front named Madhesi Morcha which had sat in talks with current government and also with the previous government led by Sushil Koirala. Yesterday both government and the Morcha talks teams had said that they were hopeful as the talks was going towards a positive
direction.
 
After today’s incident the meeting of Morcha has said that the government has derailed the talks environment and Morcha will probably leave the Talks Table for the moment.
