Kathmandu, June 22: The 25th General Convention of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) is confirmed to be held on August 20 and 21 in the capital city.

FNJ General Secretary Ujir Magar said that a meeting of the FNJ Secretariat held Thursday decided to organize the general convention in the capital city on August 20 and 21 by considering the country’s current situation of local level elections.
The FNJ has said that the date of the general convention was shifted as journalists’ participation was not possible amid their hectic schedule for reporting and news dissemination in the local level polls. Earlier, the FNJ had decided to hold its generation convention on 6-7 July.
