Famous Nepali Don Dinesh Adhikari aka Chari’s body has been cremated at Aryaghat Pashupatinath in Kathmandu on Saturday.CPN-UML central committee member and Dhading leader Khem Lohani has covered his body with party flag.Other central leaders and Dhading CA members Dhana Bahadur Ghale, Guru Burlakoti, Dhading UML Chairman Bhumi Tripathi, UML Student Wing Chairman Kishor Bikram Malla and Vice-Chairman Aain Mahar were present at the funeral rites.CPN UML leader Rajendra Pandey arrived to pay him last respect before Chari’s funeral cortege moved from TU Teaching Hospital to Aryaghat Pashupatinath.A huge crowd of Chari’s relatives, friends and normal people has participated in the funeral including his supposed girl friend Khusbu Oli.Another notorious don Chakre Milan also arrived in Aryaghat to pay his final respect to Chari who was said to be friends
before Chari established his own gang.A tight security was imposed with the command of a DIG in the area.
Chari’s girl friend Khusbu has said that Chari was tagged as Don only by police but participation of the crowd in his funeral has proved his popularity among people.
Chari was killed in a police cross-fire at Bhimdhunga before 17 days.Family and some leaders including CPN-UML leader KP Oli has claimed that Chari’s death was an extra-judicial murder.His family agreed to receive the body only after the Suprem Court demanded the written answer for not registering Dhruba Adhikari’s complaint about Chari Murder in Police.
General public has thanked police force for their job whereas human activist and Nepal Bar Association has denounced the police action for violating someone’s right of living.
