Scarlett Johansson’s lawyer is on the offensive following the nude photo hack job that sent images of the actress sprawling across the Internet yesterday.
Marty Singer is warning celebrity gossip websites in no uncertain terms that Scarlett owns the copyright to the images and to take them down. Or else.
Various sites, most notably and not surprisingly TheDirty (dot) com, have been ordered to remove the “stolen copyright protected private photographs.”
The actress’ camp contacted the FBI over the hacking and officials are investigating. It’s unclear who was behind it and what consequences they may face.
Singer claims, “The highly personal and private photographs at issue capture our client self-posing in her own home in a state of undress and/or topless.”
Just to make sure he’s perfectly clear, Singer concludes: “If you fail to comply, you will be acting at your own peril. Please govern yourselves accordingly.”
TheDirty says it will take down the Scarlett Johansson photos, which you will not find here at THG. However, enjoy the classic Vanity Fair cover above!
