UCPN Maoist Vice Chairman and Maoist leader Post Bahadur Bogati has died this morning at the age of 63 while undergoing treatment at Norvic Hospital Kathmandu.Bogati had suffered acute heart attack and brain attack.He was initially admitted to ICU of Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center Bansbari on Thrusday and a heart surgery was done and later was transferred to Norvic Hospital at Thapatali.According to the hospital source there was no sign of improvement on his health and he was put on life support and was in artificial drug support to maintain his blood pressure.He was pronounced dead at around 07:25 this morning.
His body was brought to party headquarter at Perish Danda at 9 am and several leaders including Prachanda, Baburam Bhattarai and Prime minister Sushil Koirala had paid the last tribute to him.Prachanda had given him respect covering his body with Party flag .Later his body was out at Khula Manch Tundikhel until 11 am for final public respects.
Party Chairman Prachanda has said that it is a huge lost for the nation and the party itself.Senior leader Baburam Bhattarai has also expressed condolense and said it is an irresparable loss to Maoist Party and Communist Movement.Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has said that he was saddened by the untimely demise of Bogati who had been actively taking part in drafting of new constitution.
Maoist Party Meeting has decided to postpone all the party programs for 3 days and will vow party flag half across the country for 3 days.
