A deadly bus accident at Babarmahal Kathmandu has killed 3 people on Monday evening while 8 people have been injured. Two of the injured are in critical condition according to the police.
The accident took place when a passenger minibus (Ba 1 Kha 8677) heading to Kathmandu from Banepa hit 4 motorbikes (Ba 56 Pa 5338, Ba 32 Pa 2376, Ba 37 Pa 7639 and Ba 62 Pa 3698) in front of Kathmandu district court. According to the police, the bus in a high speed hit the road divider first
Two of those deceased have been identified as Tilak Kumar Gautam from Mahottari and Kamdud Miyan from Bara whereas the third deceased victim hasn’t been identified yet.
Those injured in the accident included Padam Prashad Sharma from Kailali, Yam Kumar Magar from Panchthar, Debika Lama from Dhading, Chiure Waiba from Sindhupalchok, Nimesh Nakarmi from Kirtipur, Thakunna Shrestha from Bhainsepati, Aashish Kafle from Maitidebi and Nanu Shrestha from New Road Kathmandu.Condition of Padam Sharma and Yam Kumar Magar is said to be serious.
Police has informed that all the dead bodies have been brought at Civil Hospital at New Baneshwar and bus driver is still on the run.
In another accident last night a Scooty rider has been killed when a Tanker hit the bike at old bus park .
